November 17, 2009: Lexar has released a new Professional 600x CompactFlash (CF) card that provides higher speed and performance for professional photographers and advanced photo enthusiasts who shoot high-definition images and videos with DSLR cameras.
The new card offers a guaranteed minimum sustained write speed capability of 600x (90MB/s) when paired with a UDMA 6 enabled device. This fast speed can improve camera performance by rapidly clearing the buffer to allow sustained continuous shooting. Workflow efficiency is also improved with minimum sustained read speeds of 533x (80MB/s) or faster when paired with a UDMA 6-enabled reader.

The new cards are available in 8GB (RRP $250.80), 16GB (RRP $376.20) and 32GB (RRP $627.00) capacities. Each card is tested in the Lexar Reliability Lab, a facility with more than 800 digital cameras, to ensure quality, performance and compatibility. Purchasers can also access Lexar’s Digital Photography website, a dedicated, online resource and tips destination (http://www.lexar.com/dp/) for additional support.
Australians who purchase one of these cards – or any Lexar gaming, mobile or photography memory card – before 31 December 2009 will be in the running to win a daily, weekly or monthly prize. Over $15,000 of prizes are on offer, including daily double movie passes for Hoyts ($34), weekly prizes of a Navman My55T GPS units ($499) and monthly prizes of a Samsung 46″ LED LCD TV ($4,299).
