The latest product from Lensbaby, the Velvet 56, is designed for portraiture and produces ‘a velvety, ethereal start with a smooth finish’.

Manufactured with Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K, Sony A and Sony E mounts to suit both ‘full frame’ and cropped sensor cameras, the Velvet 56 is a manual focus model with an optical design comprising four elements in three groups. Apertures range from f/1.6 to f/16 and the lens can focus to around 13 cm from subjects. It weighs approximately 400 grams and takes 62 mm filters.
