Covering an angle of view equivalent to a 27mm lens on a 35mm camera, the Elmarit-TL 18mm f/2.8 ASPH. lens contains eight elements in six groups and includes four aspherical surfaces. Weighing only 80 grams and just 21 mm in length it comes in black and silver and it will sell for US$1,295 (RRP). Both focusing and aperture adjustment are electronically controlled and the lens will focus to within 30 cm of subjects, giving a maximum magnification ratio of 1:14. The minimum aperture of f/16.
