The new-look camera has been designed to match the special edition of the Leica Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 ASPH. lens, released in 2016. As was the case with the lens, the Leica M (Typ 262) ‘red anodised finish’ edition is also strictly limited to 100 examples of the camera for the world market, each with a unique serial number. The technical specifications of the special edition camera are identical to those of the serial production model of the Leica M (Typ 262). The Leica M (Typ 262) ‘red anodised finish’ will be available exclusively via the Leica Store in Sydney for a RRP of AU$10,000.
