The World Photography Organisation has issued a final call for entries in the 2017 Sony World Photography Awards, which close in early January.
The Open and Youth competitions close on January 5, 2017, while the Professional competition closes on January 10, 2017. The Open competition, which includes the National Awards, rewards the best single images across 10 categories. The Youth competition is for photographers aged 12-19, with a prize given to the best single image responding to a set brief. The Professional competition evaluates a body of work in 10 categories. The 2016 competition received a record-breaking 230,103 images from 186 countries.
Entry to the competition is free and can be made at www.worldphoto.org. Tips from judges of the Professional and Open competitions have been posted on this website.
