June 8, 2005: The latest additions to Koda’s EasyShare digicamline-up, the V550 and V530 combine a 5-megapixel image sensor withenhanced video and still capture facilities.
For the first time, thenew models allow video clips to be automatically turned intostop-action still pictures that can be printed or shared via emails. Upto 80 minutes of “TV quality” video with sound can now be recorded. Duefor release this month, the EasyShare V550 (RRP $699) sports aSchneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon 3x optical zoom lens and built-in imagestabilisation technology. Available in black and silver, it offers 19scene mode settings and has a 2.5-inch, high-resolution LCD screen(230,000 pixels) that is viewable from angles up to 170 degrees. Italso has an optical viewfinder.

Thecompact EasyShare V530 (RRP $599), which goes on sale in July, isavailable in four trendy colours: Absolute Pink, Red Shimmer, MidnightBlack and Silver Essence. Small enough to fit in a pocket, the V530 hasa 3x optical zoom lens and 2-inch LCD that doubles as the camera’sviewfinder. Both models are compatible with Windows and Macintosh PCsand can be used with Kodak’s EasyShare printer docks.
