Eastman Kodak Company chose CES 2007 to announce two new additions to its EasyShare digicam line-up: the 10-megapixel EasyShare V1003 Zoom and the 8-megapixel EasyShare V803 Zoom.

January 9, 2007: Eastman Kodak Company chose CES 2007 to announce two new additions to its EasyShare digicam line-up: the 10-megapixel EasyShare V1003 Zoom and the 8-megapixel EasyShare V803 Zoom.
Both models come with 3x optical zoom lenses and 2.5-inch LCD screens plus 22 scene modes, including in-camera panorama stitching. They also feature a new high ISO mode that extends sensitivity to ISO 1600 and forms the basis of a ‘digital image stabilisation’ function. Both models include Kodak Perfect Touch technology, which automatically brings out shadow details and increases colour saturation. In-camera cropping facilities are also provided. Both cameras can record VGA video with sound at 30 frames/second and provide trimming and tagging controls for easy editing and searching.

The new cameras will be offered in a variety of colors including-pink bliss, red shimmer, cosmic blue, mystic purple, golden dream, white glaze, silver essence, slate gray and java black. Kodak was also announced as a winner of Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards for three products at this year’s CES. The Kodak EasyShare V610 Dual Lens Digital Camera was named “Best of Innovations 2007” award winner in the Digital Imaging category, while the Kodak EasyShare V570 Dual Lens Digital Camera and the Kodak Digital Picture System 900 (DPS 900) garnered Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering honors in the Digital Imaging (V570) and in the Eco-Design (DPS 900) categories respectively. The Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards, sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America, honors superior design and engineering among the year’s most technologically advanced products. Winners are selected by a panel of independent industry designers, engineers and journalists.
Kodak was also recognized by Popular Science magazine, which named the EasyShare V570 Dual Lens Digital Camera in its annual “Best of What’s New 2006” issue and consumer showcase event, which took place in November. This camera was also the recipient of PC Magazine’s 23rd Annual Technical Excellence Award.
