: Kodak has unveiled its new Ultima Picture Paper that claims to produce photo prints that last for more than 100 years in ‘typical home display’ conditions when used with the latest generation of inkjet printer inks.
The new papers, which are available in high-gloss and satin finishes and come in the popular10 x 15 cm, A4 and 13 x 18 cm (high-gloss only) sizes feature Kodak’s Colorlast technology, which locks the dye molecules into ink-receiving layers to provide high levels of stability. The paper also has a proprietary three-layer coating that minimises smudging and improves ozone resistant while also providing quick drying times. The paper base itself is the same as Kodak’s traditional silver halide papers so prints look and feel like photo prints.
