Kodak has released its PLAYSPORT video camera, which is designed for snapshooters with active lifestyles and can record 1080p HD video at depths of up to three metres.

June 3, 2010: Kodak has released its PLAYSPORT video camera, which is designed for snapshooters with active lifestyles and can record 1080p HD video at depths of up to three metres.
Offered in black with an RRP of $249, the PLAYSPORT comes with electronic image stabilisation and Kodak Imaging Science technology for sharper video clips. Smart face tracking technology is also provided. It sports a 2-inch colour LCD monitor with glare shield for outdoor use. Still pictures can be recorded with 5-megapixel resolution and the PLAYSPORT provides a SD/SDHC card slot. Built-in software and a supplied USB cable allow still pictures and video clips to be uploaded to social websites.
The lithium-ion battery is recharged in the camera. An HDMI cable is also included and the new camera is compatible with an optional remote control. For more information, visit www.kodak.com.
