Kingston has added the 256GB capacity to its line of Class 10 UHS-I microSDHC / microSDXC cards to cater for growing demands from users of mobile devices.

Designed for users of action cameras and cameraphone owners who shoot video with their phones, the new 256GB card comes with a Class 10 speed rating and can store up to 64,000 12MP images or up to 976 minutes at 1080p FHD video at 30 frames/second without interruption. The new card is IEC/EN 60529 IPX7 certified for protection against continual water submersion up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to one metre. It can tolerate temperatures ranging from -25 °C to 85 °C it is also shock and vibration proof and ISO 7816-1 certified for protection against 0.1 Gy of X-ray radiation to both sides of card.

Like other cards in the range, the Kingston 256GB microSDXC Class 10 UHS-I Card is available as a stand-alone card or with an SD card adapter.
