Claimed to provide the world’s highest capacity in USB flash drive format, the new drives will give users the ability to store massive amounts of data in a small form factor. For example, the 2TB drive can store up to 70 hours of 4K video or 256,000 photos with 24-megapixel resolution. The new drives are made with a zinc-alloy metal casing for shock resistance and the USB 3 interface supports fast data transfer.
The new DataTraveler Ultimate GT drives will ship in February in 1TB and 2TB capacities. They are compatible with all recent Windows and Mac OS operating systems as well as Linux v.2.6.x+, Chrome OS. Both models are backed by a 5-year warranty and free technical support. Pricing has still to be determined. For more information, visit www.kingston.com.
