Kayell will be running studio flash workshops for amateur and prosumer photographers in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in January, February and March, respectively.
Conducted by fashion photographer, Christian Blanchard, they will enable participants to build a portfolio of images without the expense of hiring agency models, organising complicated shoots, hair and make-up, purchasing or hiring lighting, and finding a studio space and building sets. They will be able to shoot a variety of both male and female models in five different studio sets and, if weather permits, an outdoor set will enable them to see how big flash can be used outdoors. A professional retoucher will be engaged in each state to end the day with a presentation on how to optimise fashion, hair and beauty images.
Each workshop is restricted to 75 participants and will run between 9.30 am and approximately 4.30pm. The fee for the day is AU$199, with an early-bird discount rate of $175. The workshop dates and venues are as follows:
Melbourne: Sunday 31 January 2016 at the Photography Studies College, 65 City Rd, Southbank VIC 3006.
Sydney: Sunday 14 February 2016 at Carriageworks, 245 Wilson St, Eveleigh NSW 2015.
Brisbane: Sunday 13 March 2016 at Warehouse Studios, 2/98 Wecker Rd, Mansfield QLD 4122.
