Kayell Australia has announced the up-coming dates for its popular workshops on studio lighting and fine art inkjet printing.

Conducted by expert practitioners both sets of workshops specialise in small class sizes and hand-on experience as key aspects of tuition. Both are designed for people who already know how to use their digital cameras.

The Basic Lighting Techniques Using Studio Flash workshops will run for three hours and cover portrait photography skills, including understanding the effects of the direction, quality and colour of light on the subject and its surrounds. Participants will require their own camera plus a reasonably fast medium-range zoom lens and appropriate memory cards. The cost of this workshop is AU$99.

Sessions will be held on 15 February in Sydney and Melbourne. Full details and bookings are available at http://www.kayellaustralia.com.au/page/45/Basic_Lighting_Techniques.html.

The Fine Art of Inkjet Printing Workshop is conducted by Dr Les Walkling, master digital print maker. It covers a whole day and places are strictly limited to 20 people per workshop. The cost of this workshop is AU$395.

Each participant will share a Macintosh connected to a Eizo ColorEdge Monitor with a Epson Stylus Pro A2 3880 Desktop Printer. Participants are asked to supply a USB thumb drive with several images, some raw and some ready to print. Plenty of inkjet paper will be available to produce fine art prints to take home.

Sessions will be held on 23 February in Sydney and on 4 March in Melbourne. Full details and bookings are available at http://www.kayellaustralia.com.au/page/48/The_Fine_Art_of_Inkjet_Printing_by_Kayell.html
