March 19, 2007: HP will display its latest Designjet Z Series large format printers at this year’s PMA Australia Imaging Expo, which will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre from May 4-6.
Released at the end of 2006, the Designjet Z Series of printers has been developed for the photographic and creative market and features the first built-in spectrophotometer in a printer of this class. It is capable of consistently producing museum-quality 8 and 12 ink prints that last 200 years, according to testing by Wilhelm Imaging Research. The series features two printers; the HP Designjet Z2100 24-inch (60.96 cm) and Z3100 44-inch (111.76cm). Continuing to expand its professional printing portfolio, HP is leveraging its pigment ink technologies developed for the HP Photosmart Pro B9180 to create the first large-format printers employing HP’s Scalable Printing Technology. HP will also present leading Australian photographer Trent Parke who will participate in the PMA workshop program.
