February 10, 2010: The NSW branch of the AIPP is calling on photographers across the state to participate on a fund-raising initiative to support babies born prematurely.
The ø¢â‚¬ËœHigh Noon Shoot Out’ will take place on Sunday 14 February at exactly 12 o’clock midday. Participating photographers are asked to take a photograph of wherever they are at this time. The subject matter is entirely open and the image will be used as part of an audio visual slideshow and possible book, showcasing the diverse work of photographers across the state.
Entrants do not need to be members of the AIPP but will need to register beforehand and pay a $20 entry fee. The fee will be used to produce the slideshow. Images will be displayed with a copyright notice and the photographer’s caption. Copyright will stay with the photographer but the photographer must give AIPP NSW the right to show the image in the ø¢â‚¬ËœHigh Noon’ project. The entry fee will be donated to Miracle Babies – a charity devoted to the support of premature babies.
