These high-capacity, one-inch photo hard drives are built to last and carry a one-year warranty that covers all parts and labour. They offer fast 3600-RPM speeds plus a 2MB cache. Designed for digital cameras with a CF+ Type II media slot they are compatible with a wide and growing range of FAT32-formatted digital cameras and represent an effective storage solution for professional and enthusiast photographers who shoot raw or TIFF images. A list of compatible cameras can be found at http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/disc/faq/photo_camera_comp.html.
The new 4GB card (RRP $249) can store approximately 640 raw files from a 6-megapixel camera or 320 from a 10-megapixel model. Seagate’s 8GB CF card (RRP $449) has double this capacity.
