Dates and prices have been announced for this year’s workshops and events run in conjunction with the Head On Photo Festival in Sydney from 1- 31 May 2015.

This year is the sixth consecutive season in Sydney and, as before, it includes exhibitions, events, education and public debate. It will include workshops to assist and inspire photographers with all levels of expertise from amateurs to working and aspiring professional photographers. Included among them are the following:
2-3 May: Using Photography for Social Change, a two-day workshop with World Press Photo winner and Magnum Foundation Emergency Fund Grant recipient  Alessandro Penso, who will draw upon his award-winning work on asylum seekers in Europe.

4 May: The annual Head On Portfolio Reviews provides photographers with an unprecedented access to an array of national and international industry leaders to  gain valuable feedback on their portfolio and learn how to break into the industry.

8-9 May: A two-day masterclass on Turning your Creativity Commercial. Led by Getty photographer Benjamin Lowy, LA Times Photographer Michael Robinson Chavez and Facebook Pages picture editor Marvi Lacar, this workshopbrings together some of the finest Freelance, Commercial and Marketing minds in photography and over 40 years experience to workshop what your next step is and how to make it count.
