Photographers who wish to enter images in the Head On Photo Awards have until 8:00 p.m. (GMT +11) on Tuesday 5 February to submit their entries.

The competition has four award categories: Portrait, Landscape, Mobile and Student. Entries are evaluated anonymously by a panel of judges drawn from contemporary photographers, international picture editors and curators of major institutions. The prize pool is valued at AU$60,000 and includes cash, equipment, services and exhibitions.

Winners will be announced at the launch of Head On Photo Festival (Friday 3 May at UNSW Art and Design, Paddington campus) and exhibited various venues in Sydney during the Festival, which runs from Saturday 4 – Sunday 19 May 2019.
