May 19, 2006: Local Hasselblad distributor, C.R. Kennedy & Company, is expecting stocks of the Hasselblad 503CWD, a limited edition model released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Victor Hasselblad’s birth. The 503CWD is described as “the perfect marriage of advanced digital technology and a classic Hasselblad workhorse”. It combines the rugged reliability of the black and chrome V System body, with Hasselblad’s latest digital technology to create a new digital workhorse. Only 500 of the anniversary edition cameras will be made and each camera will be numbered and engraved with Victor Hasselblad’s signature. Each camera will be supplied in a kit consisting of the 503CWD integrated digital camera with waist-level viewfinder, specially marked focusing screen and chrome winding lever, a Zeiss Planar CFE 2.8/80mm lens, and a beautifully produced book marking Victor’s anniversary. Released concurrently with the 503CWD is the Hasselblad CFV Digital Back, which matches the design and functionality of Hasselblad V System cameras, and includes digital integration for classic V System lenses plus a sensor that is 50% larger than full frame 35mm DSLRs. The company also has stock of the new Hasselblad H2D-39, the world’s first 39-megapixel digital SLR. Demonstrations can be arranged at any of C.R. Kennedy’s offices in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australian or Western Australia. For more information, visit www.crkennedy.com.au.
