January 13, 2009: The first major survey of the work of Australian Indigenous photographic and portrait artists opens at the Art Gallery of NSW on 28 January.
The exhibition, which runs until 22 February, showcases a range of techniques and offers an unprecedented insight into the black experience. Free screenings of videos from the Indigenous Programs Unit at ABC Message Stick will take place in the Centenary Auditorium between midday and 1 pm throughout the exhibition.
