March 14, 2006: GretagMacbeth has released version 3.6 of its Eye-One Match colour profiling software for Windows and Macintosh computers.
The latest version, which is designed for PCs running Windows 2000, XP or 2003 Server or Mac OS X (10.3 or higher) computers, allows users to create profiles according to the ICC 2 (default) or ICC 4 specification (via the options menu). It also provides X64 support. The list of monitors supported has been updated to include new models from La Cie, HP, IBM, Eizo, NEC and Sony and a ‘before and after’ calibration step has been added to allow users to see the changes made by the calibration process.
Users of Eye-One Pro and Eye-One Display devices can benefit from a range of updates that improve gamma control, white point selection and luminance. They can also check the consistency of the ambient light in their working area. A new gamut mapping facility has been included in the printer module and issues relating to USB input/output have been addressed. The latest version of Eye-One match can be downloaded free of charge by owners of Eye-One devices from www.gretagmacbeth.com. Click on Products and Services and select Eye-One Match from the Popular Downloads menu. (File size is 22.4MB.)
