An exhibition of contemporary photography by artist, Gerwyn Davies, opens at the Australian Centre for Photography’s Project Space Gallery on 15 February.

Images presented in the exhibition combine photographic self-portraiture and costume making,  inspired by primary-coloured plastics from Dollar stores, American gothic fiction and the Australian Football League. Fur coincides with the program of celebrations for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras: Forty Years of Evolution.

 Gerwyn Davies will be in residency in the Project Space Gallery from 19-23 February,  during the lead-up to Mardi Gras. Visitors will have an opportunity to engage directly with his ideas for costumes and their production. He will also participate in the Art after Dark Event, coinciding with Art Month Sydney, Paddington & Woollahra, 15 March.

The exhibition will be held at the  Project Space Gallery at 72 Oxford St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010. The gallery is open Tuesday ““ Friday 10 am to 6 pm. Saturday 11am-4pm. The exhibition closes on Saturday 24 March 2018. For more information, phone (02) 9332 0555.
