Featuring weatherproof sealing to match the GFX camera bodies, together with five stop image stabilisation, the new lens is likely to appeal to outdoor photographers, particularly those who shoot landscapes and nature. The optical design of the lens consists of 20 elements in 13 groups and includes two super Extra Low Dispersion Glass lenses and one aspherical lens to reduce chromatic aberrations and field curvature. Five stop image stabilisation enables this lens to be used for hand-held shooting, while the linear motor that drives autofocusing is quiet, fast and accurate. The lens includes a new mechanism for fixing the linear motor position when turning the power off or during playback to avoid any additional vibration. This lens is compatible with the GF1.4X TC WR 1.4x teleconverter, which extends the telephoto shooting range to 140-280mm (equivalent to 111-221mm in 35mm format).
The new GF 100-200mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR is scheduled for release locally in mid February 2019 at an RRP of AU$3199. Click here for more information.
