: Smaller than a 75 x 75mm Post-It note, the new Fujifilm FinePix F440 Zoom and FinePix 450 Zoom cameras feature high-resolution CCD sensors and 3.4x optical zoom lenses.
Designed for photographers who want pocketable, high-resolution cameras, both models weigh only 150 grams and owe their compact size to a new lens design that allows the 3.4x Fujinon zoom lens to retract completely into the camera’s square stainless steel body. The lens focal length is equivalent to 38-130mm on a 35mm camera. The two cameras differ in sensor resolution, with FinePix F440 Zoom (RRP $599) having a 4.1-megapixel CCD, while the FinePix F450 Zoom (RRP $699) boasts 5.2 million effective pixels. On the back panel of each camera body is a 2-inch LCD monitor and both models also have optical viewfinders.
