March 9, 2006: The new Fujifilm FinePix V10 camera combines easy picture-taking and entertainment, with four built-in video games for times when the camera is not being used for photography.
Equipped with a 5.1 megapixel sensor and 3.4x optical zoom lens, the V10 has distinctive square styling plus an extra large 3-inch LCD screen that is used both for framing subjects and viewing previously captured photos. The new camera includes Fujifilm’s proprietary Real Photo Technology processor, which supports an extended sensitivity range from ISO 64 to ISO 1600. It also boasts a 1.5-second start-up time, low capture lag and the ability to record VGA movie clips at 30 frames/second with sound. A new shooting mode, Natural Light & with Flash, records two images in quick succession, with and without a flash. It then provides an on-the-spot comparison that allows users to determine whether a flash is needed or not for the shot.
The FinePix V10 will go on sale next month at an RRP of $549. Bundled accessories include a 16MB xD-Picture Card, NP-40 lithium-ion battery, AC power adaptor, hand strap, USB cable, A/V cable, Owner’s manual and software CD-ROM with USB Driver, FinePix Viewer and ImageMixer VCD2 LE for FinePix.
