Fujifilm has today released details of its new weather-sealed XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R OIS lens, which will provide a general-purpose option for owners of the company’s X-mount cameras.

The release of the new lens isn’t surprising as it was heralded in the lens roadmap that was updated in January 2014 and is reproduced below.

The XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R OIS is the first of three weather-resistant zoom lenses that have been designed to complement the X-T1 and are promised for this year. The remaining lenses, the XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R OIS WR and the XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R OIS WR are scheduled for release later in the year.
