Designed for everyday use, the new X-M5 camera is the lightest in the X Series with a weight of approximately 355 grams. Available in all-black or black and silver versions, it comes with a full range of features, including AI subject detection Auto Focus (AF), a dedicated Film Simulation dial on the top panel and 6.2K/30p video recording, making it ideal for capturing both still images and high resolution movies. Interestingly, however, like some other ‘vlogging’ cameras, it lacks an EVF. The 26.1-megapixel X-Trans BSI CMOS sensor is partnered with Fujifilm’s X-Processor 5 and the camera includes a newly introduced 9:16 Short Movie Vlog Mode that makes it easy to shoot vertical videos for various social media platforms. The X-M5 is available to pre-order here and will go on sale on 14 November at an RRP of AU$1,499. It will also be offered in kit format with the Fujinon XF 15-45mm lens for $1,649.

The XF16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR II lens replaces the Fujinon XF16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR as the new flagship model in the XF lens lineup. Weighing approximately 410 grams, the new lens is 37% lighter than its predecessor and gains an optimised lens configuration that enhances imaging performance. With this lens, Fujifilm has introduced the Aperture Click Switch for the first time for the XF lens lineup, enabling smooth brightness transitions during aperture adjustments to make video recording seamless. In addition to its video-friendly features, the new lens can be used for a wide range of still photography genres, including nature, landscape and portraits, leveraging its high resolution and beautiful, smooth bokeh. It has a minimum focusing distance of 30 cm and is dust and weather resistant. It is available to pre-order here and will go on sale on 28 November at an RRP of AU$2,149.

The new Fujinon XF500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR super telephoto prime lens represents the pinnacle of optical performance in the XF lens lineup. It delivers exceptional reach equivalent to 762mm in 35mm format by leveraging the advantage of the 1.5x crop factor of the APS-C format, while maintaining a lightweight (approximately 1,335 grams) and compact design. This lens is ideal for shooting birds, wildlife, sports and aircraft, offering outstanding portability. Its superior resolving power and form factor makes high-quality telephoto photography more accessible than ever. When combined with a teleconverter, the XF500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR offers even greater flexibility in focal length, reaching a maximum focal length of 1000mm (equivalent to 1524mm in 35mm format) when combined with the Fujinon Teleconverter XF2.0X TC WR. Built-in camera shake detection and an optimal mechanical design contribute to a powerful 5.5 stop optical image stabilisation system. It is available to pre-order here and will go on sale on 28 November at an RRP of AU$5,399.
