June 29, 2007: September will see the release of Fujifilm’s new Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl Paper, a new silver halide colour photo paper suitable for professional commercial prints.
Designed for use in Fujifilm’s Frontier Digital minilabs, the new paper yields high quality digital prints that are ideal for professional applications such as portrait, fashion or commercial photography. The embedded pearl-like crystals featured in the Pearl Paper are a special type of pigment known as pearl mica pigments that produce a high gloss reflectance, particularly in the highlights. This pearl effect enhances the warmth and depth of printed images. However, the technology does not affect physical properties such as paper cutting.
The new paper features the latest cyan coupler, X-Coupler Technology, which enables the paper to reproduce subtle shades of green and vibrant shades of blues and red. NLS (New Low Stain Spectral-Sensitiser) and ARR (Advanced Resistance-to-Radiation) Technologies produce pure whites and distinct highlights, and suppress fogging caused by ambient radiation to ensure unexposed Pearl Paper retains its whiteness. Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl Paper will be offered in a range of sizes up to 50 inches wide. For full details, visit www.fujifilm.com.au.
