August 24, 2006: Fujifilm Australia will release a 2GB xD-Picture Card in October, effectively doubling the top storage capacity for this camera storage medium.
The new Type M M2GB Card uses high-density MLC (Multi Level Cell) memory technology to extend the storage capacity of this compact (20mm x 25mm x 1.7mm) type of card. Fujifilm claims the potential storage capacity for future xD-Picture Cards will be up to 8GB. Pricing details will be added to this announcement when they are available.
