September 21, 2010: New Zealand company, Enlight, has released details of its latest product, the frio coldshoe universal hotshoe tripod adaptor.
Designed to enable photographers to connect their hotshoe-equipped gear to tripods, stands, rigs and grips, the frio features Slip’n’Click technology that minimises hassles. It can be used to connect a hotshoe flash quickly to a tripod, lightstand, rig or grip. Once in place, the frio’s patent-pending Dual Lock system keeps it there. However, it can be easily removed when required. The frio can also be used for connecting video microphones to DSLR cameras.

A handy lanyard point is provided for attaching radio slaves and other small accessories. The frio is also totally pocketable, light weight and small enough to keep on a keyring.
