A series of free talks for amateur and professional photographers will be held at this year’s PMA Imaging Technology Expo, which opens at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre on 4 May.

 

April 23, 2007: A series of free talks for amateur and professional photographers will be held at this year’s PMA Imaging Technology Expo, which opens at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre on 4 May.
The professional talks will take place on the show floor in a purpose-built Imaging Theatre, which seats 70. Speakers will include Henry Wilhelm, the US based researcher into print archival capabilities, Wayne Connelly, Les Walking, Eric Kunsman, Tim Griffiths and Steve Strike. Topics covered will include wedding photography, B&W printing with inkjet printers, colour management, Adobe Lightroom and Phase One software tips, camera care, shooting raw files and selling images.
Another series of talks will take place in the Auditorium on the second floor, which has seating for 500. Featured speakers will include the National Geographic Society photographer Jason Edwards, internationally acclaimed landscape photographer Ken Duncan and surf photography expert Ted Grambeau. These talks will be open to enthusiast photographers on Saturday 5 May and Sunday 6 May. Admission to the Expo is free as long as the visitor pre-registers on line at www.photoimaging.world.com.au.
