The Australian Centre for Photography presents a five-day photography festival at its Sydney premises in late January, 2012.

The festival kicks off on Saturday, 21 January with a free display of new work by Creative Learning students who have completed courses during Term 4, 2011. The show will provide the first presentation of students’ compositions. On the same day, the Centre will open a new Creative Learning Course titled ‘Silent and Still Exhibition’. The exhibition showcases black and white darkroom prints made by Michael Waite from vintage negatives that date from early to mid 20th century and various parts of the world. Their objective is to give a sense of people as being defined by their culture and era. It is also free of charge.
On Sunday, 22 January, the Centre will hold an Open Day between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Visitors will have the chance to meet the tutors and have a look around the creative learning and gallery spaces at the ACP. Other events on this day include a seminar on portraiture by Kelly-Anne Denton between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The fee for this seminar is $20 ($10 for ACP members).
