Canon has released firmware updates for the EOS 5D and ESO 30D cameras providing a number of important fixes and improvements for each camera.

 

March 19, 2008: Canon has released firmware updates for the EOS 5D and ESO 30D cameras providing a number of important fixes and improvements for each camera.
The EOS 5D Firmware Update V. 1.1.1, which can be downloaded from http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eos5d/eos5d_firmware-e.html, includes the following changes:

3. It adds lenses that are compatible with the Digital Photo Professional 3.2 lens aberration correction function. More lenses will be supported by the lens aberration correction function of Digital Photo Professional 3.2, Canon’s raw image viewer/editing software.

The EOS 30D Firmware Update V. 1.0.6 includes the following fixes and improvements:
It allows the latest lens names to be recorded in the Exif information of images taken.

It adds lenses that are compatible with the Digital Photo Professional 3.2 lens aberration correction function. It can be downloaded from http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eos30d/eos30d_firmware-e.html.
