Canon has posted a firmware upgrade for its EOS D60 digital SLR camera on its BeBit website (http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/D60/D60_Firm-e.html).

The new Version 1.0.4 has been developed to resolve two problems that may occur when images are captured in the RAW mode (depending on shutter release timing):

1. Thumbnail is black. (Note: this only affects the thumbnail; there is no problem with the main image.)

2. Data is not written to CF card or microdrive.

Version 1.0.4 also contains improvements that were introduced with Version 1.0.2, which resolves underexposure and file number duplication issues that can occur depending on the camera settings, scene and shooting time.

Full instructions for downloading and implementing the update are available at the URL listed above.
