Firmware Ver.02 will improve the AF speed and AF accuracy with the Face Detection setting for the following Sigma Art lenses with the Sony E-mount:14mm f/1.8 DG HSM (A017), 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM (A015),  24mm f/1.4 DG HSM (A015), 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM (A012), 50mm f/1.4DG HSM (A014), 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM (A016), 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM (A018) and 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM (A017). It will also correct a phenomenon whereby the AF stopping position occasionally had a variation when shutter was half pressed repeatedly during auto focusing on the same subject when using the Sony α9 or Sony α6400 cameras.

Firmware Ver. 02 for the 40mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art (A018) lens provides a correction for a phenomenon that causes cameras which incorporate DMF mode to display a magnified view while the MF assist function is turned on in AF mode as focus is obtained when using camera bodies supporting Direct Manual Focus.

The new firmware Ver. 02 for the Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM | Art lens improves AF accuracy when the Face Detection setting is turned on, while using AF. It also provides a fix for a problem associated with the Sony α9 or Sony α6400, whereby the AF stopping position occasionally had a variation when shutter was half pressed repeatedly during auto focusing on the same subject.
