A new firmware update for Sigma’s sd Quattro and dp Quattro series cameras will add the popular “Teal & Orange” colour mode pioneered in the Sigma fp.
Inspired by the popular colour grading method used in Hollywood movies, “Teal & Orange” biases shadow tones towards blues and cyan hues and at the same time emphasizes oranges and yellows in highlights. The result is said to add depth to images.
Sigma has also released a new version of SIGMA’s RAW processing software, SIGMA Photo Pro 6.3 which enables RAW data (X3F, X3I) from the Quattro series to be processed with Teal & Orange.
As is standard with SIGMA’s RAW processing software, the option to use Teal & Orange, and any colour mode, can be selected either in the camera or in the RAW software.
