Tamron has issued new firmware for its A057 and A067 lenses for the Sony E mount and its B028 high-power zoom lens for Canon’s RF-S mount.
New firmware is available for the Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD (A057) lens. (Source: Tamron.)
Firmware Ver. 3 for the 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD (A057) lens for the Sony E mount delivers improved the AF tracking performance when shooting moving objects and adds support for the AF assist function during video recording. This update should be applied with the lens attached to a camera body.
Firmware Ver. 2 for the 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD (A067) lens for the Sony E mount also improves AF tracking performance when shooting moving objects and adds support for the AF assist function during video recording. In addition, it adds compatibility with the Tamron Lens Utility Mobile app, which allows users to adjust a variety of settings via an Android smartphone or tablet. This app is available through the Tamron support website (link below) or the Google Play Store.
Firmware Ver. 3 for the 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Canon RF mount lens (B028) improves autofocusing with the EOS R7 and EOS R10 cameras when the shutter release button is pressed halfway.
