Nikon has released a firmware update for the Coolpix B500 digicam plus new software for its Z-series mirrorless cameras.

Firmware Version 1.4 for the Coolpix B500 changes the lens warning display when the camera is turned on. The display when Home time zone or Travel destination is selected in the Set up > Time zone and date > Time zone sub-menu now shows only the names of major cities in the currently selected zone. It also fixes an issue that caused a new folder to be created and file numbering to restart from DSCN0001.JPG when certain operations were performed. Click here to download the new firmware.

The software update for the Nikon Z6 & Z7 cameras adds N-Log 3D LUT, a  3D lookup table developed by Nikon for use when color grading movie footage shot with N-Log gamma. As of July 2019, Nikon has tested the software and confirmed that it can be used with the following applications: Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Apple Final Cut Pro X and Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 15. However, Nikon neither endorses these applications nor guarantees their operation. Click here to visit the Nikon Download Centre, where you can select ‘Mirrorless Cameras’ and click on the model name for the camera you wish to update.
