Panasonic has released Version 2.0 of the firmware for its Lumix GH6 hybrid camera with a strong focus on increasing video capabilities.

Firmware Version 2.0 applies the following improvements:

  • 7K / C4K / Anamorphic (4:3) 5.8K / Anamorphic (4:3) 4.4K 12-bit RAW video data can be output over HDMI to Atomos Ninja V and Ninja V+ devices, to be recorded as Apple Pro Res RAW.
  • Apple ProRes 422 HQ/ProRes 422 video recording is available at the following resolutions and frame rates: C4K 59.94p, 50p, 29.97p, 25p, 24p, 23.98p and FHD 59.94p, 50p, 29.97p, 25p, 24p, 23.98p.
  • The Active Track Function of the DJI RS 2 and RSC 2 Gimbals can be used.
