Panasonic has also announced a Beta release of the Lumix Tether for Streaming doftware program for computers running Mac OS. This program was originally designed for tethered shooting and displayed Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) such as a focus area mark and control panels with live view images on a monitor during USB tethering. In response to customer requests a Live View mode has been added to display the camera view only, making it easy for separate streaming software to read it. Users can choose to show or hide these graphic items during USB tethering according to their requirements. Compatible cameras are the GH5, G9, GH5S, S1, S1R and S1H. The software is available now via this link.
A second software application, Lumix Webcam Software, will be available for Windows at the end of September 2020, and for Mac at the end of October 2020. It enables selected LUMIX cameras to be used as webcams over a USB connection for both live streaming and video conferencing. Compatible cameras are the S1H, S1R, S1, GH5S, GH5, G9 and G100.
