Nikon Australia has released Firmware Ver. 1.30 for the Z 7II and Z 6II full-frame (Nikon FX-format) mirrorless cameras.
The new firmware applies the same updates to both cameras, adding a Portrait Impression Balance function, which allows users to adjust the hue and brightness of human subjects on two axes with the shooting of still-images and video. Up to three sets of the user’s preferred adjustment values can be saved and applied with shooting. The function supports processing that is closer to the user’s intent. Specific to the Z6 II is the addition of the Voice Memo recording/play function, a popular feature with the Z 6 mirrorless camera and D6 DSLR camera. The function will support the workflow of professional photographers in scenes such as sporting events, where speed is crucial.
The new firmware is available to download from the Nikon Download Centre.
