Firmware update 1.4.0 is now available for the Leica D-Lux 8 and Nikon has released firmware version 5.10 for its Z9 camera.
The Leica D-Lux 8 (left) and Nikon Z9 (right) have each received firmware updates. (NOTE: The cameras shown are not to scale.)
A link to the Leica firmware update, which contains unspecified bug fixes, has been provided to all registered D-Lux 8 owners and is also available via the Downloads link on the camera’s pages on Leica Australia’s website.
Nikon’s firmware release for the Z9 camera contains a large number of fixes, the most critical of which are:
(1) the ability to set shutter angle in Shutter mode to ensure motion blur remains the same irrespective of the frame rate, and
(2) the ability to change the colour of Zebra stripes as well as the transparency and position of on-screen brightness displays (histogram, waveforms).
