Panasonic has released the Ver.2.3 firmware update program for its Lumix GH6 hybrid M4/3 camera with the objective of offering a more flexible workflow.

The new firmware will add the ability to output 12-bit RAW video in 5.7K, C4K, Anamorphic (4:3) 5.8K, and Anamorphic (4:3) 4.4K formats to a Blackmagic Design external recorder via HDMI and enable it to be saved as Blackmagic RAW..Note: DaVinci Resolve or DaVinci Resolve Studio is required to play back and DaVinci Resolve Studio to edit Blackmagic RAW data.

It will also support 4K120p/100p video output over HDMI to an external device, and adds a Power Save Live View function. High frame rate video can also be recorded to an external SSD when Panasonic AC adaptor (DMW-AC10, optional) and DC Coupler (DMW-DCC17, optional) is connected. A Video Repair function has also been added.
