Panasonic has released new firmware for its Lumix GH5 Mark II mirrorless M4/3 camera offering new capabilities and performance improvements.


Firmware version 1.1 brings the following improvements and added functions to the GH5 Mark 2 M4/3 camera:

  1. Expanded compatibility with DJI Gimbal enables the Active Track Function of the DJI RS 2 and DJI RSC 2 gimbals to be used.
    2. Improvements to streaming capabilities add support for RTP/RTSP streaming of video and audio (AAC) via wired LAN and RTMP/RTMPS streaming via the USB tethering function of smartphones.
  2. Added functions include Live View Composite recording, the addition of 720° and 1080° options to the Focus Ring Control setting and improved capabilities with LUMIX Tether, which include connecting the camera via wired LAN, control via LUMIX Tether over multiple cameras and power zoom lenses.
  3. A performance improvement addresses cases where the camera froze when transferring images to a PC via Wi-Fi (5GHz).
