November 20, 2010: Firmware updates have been issued for the Pentax K-5 DSLR camera and Sony’s Handycam NEX-VG10E interchangeable lens Full HD camcorder.
Firmware Update Software Version 1.01 of for the K-5 increases the number of continuous shots the camera can record with RAW format and for the high sensitivity shooting mode. It also provides improved stability for general performance, particularly for the exposure range in the HyP mode. It can be downloaded from http://www.pentax.jp/english/support/digital/k-5_s.html.
Registered owners of the Sony Handycam NEX-VG10E can benefit from a free firmware upgrade that adds smooth, accurate autofocus support with 14 A-mount SAM and SSM lenses. Note: AF compatibility of the NEX-VG10E with A-mount lenses requires the optional LA-EA1 Mount Adaptor, plus a separate firmware upgrade for the LA-EA1.
