Fujifilm has released firmware updates for its X-Pro2 and X-E3 cameras, adding new -but different – features to each camera.
Firmware Ver. 4.01 for the X-Pro2 fixes a problem that could cause the camera to freeze when all the three settings below are set at the same time after the firmware has been upgraded to version 4.00.
1. IMAGE QUALITY : FINE+RAW or NORMAL + RAW
2. RAW RECORDING : LOSSLESS COMPRESSED
3. DRIVE : any ADVANCED FILTER.
Note: Firmware Ver. 4.0 added 4K video using the X Series’ Film Simulation modes and also provided support for tethered shooting via USB or Wi-Fi.
Firmware Ver. 1.10 for the X-E3 adds support for automatic geotagging and time/date synchronisation by Bluetooth tagging when the camera is connected to a smartphone. Note: To use this function, the application software “FUJIFILM Camera Remote” needs to be upgrade to the latest version Ver.3.1.0. The new firmware also includes a fix for the live view blinking that could occur with face detection enabled when the dynamic range was on the 400% setting.
