Canon Australia has issued firmware updates for its EOS-1D Mark III and EOS-1Ds Mark III professional digital SLR cameras.

 

April 30, 2008: Canon Australia has issued firmware updates for its EOS-1D Mark III and EOS-1Ds Mark III professional digital SLR cameras.
The new firmware includes refinements and new features based on feedback received from professional users, enabling improved Auto Focus (AF) performance in AI Servo AF and increased operation options for the photographer. The new firmware versions also include the following improvements:
1) Direct selection of AF point using the Multi-controller;
2) The functions of Exposure compensation/Aperture and AF point selection or ISO speed set buttons can be switched between each other;
3) Flash function settings can be used to set the Wireless setting and Zoom using the camera’s external Speedlite control menu.
