Nikon has issued ‘C’ Firmware Version 1.02 for its recently released D500 DSLR camera.
The new firmware addresses an issue that sometimes caused read errors with certain UHS-II SD memory cards by providing a work-around that switches temporarily to UHS-I mode when a card-side error occurs in UHS-II mode. The camera switches back to UHS-II mode when turned off and then on again or when the standby timer restarts. The new firmware also fixes an issue that sometimes resulted in the options for SETUP MENU > Language not displaying correctly.
The new firmware is available in Windows and Mac OS versions for downloading from the Nikon Download Centre at http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/download/fw/191.html.
