Canon has released a firmware update for the EOS 400D DSLR camera that includes fixes for problems related to direct printing of shot and use of the Speedlite 380EX flash.

 

April 18, 2007: Canon has released a firmware update for the EOS 400D DSLR camera that includes fixes for problems related to direct printing of shot and use of the Speedlite 380EX flash.
This firmware update (Version 1.0.5) incorporates the following fixes and improvement.:

3. Improves the reliability of communication with the Speedlite 380EX.

This firmware update applies to cameras with firmware versions up to 1.0.4 installed. If your camera’s firmware is already version 1.0.5, it is not necessary to perform this update.
The firmware update can be downloaded from http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/eosdigital3/e4kr3_firmware-e.html. Instructions for uploading it to the camera are provided.
