Canon has released a firmware update for its EOS-1D C digital SLR camera and announced an up-coming enhanced version of the EOS-1D C’s dedicated EOS Movie Utility software.
Scheduled for release today, the new firmware update for the EOS-1D C will enable the camera to correct for insufficient peripheral illumination when outfitted with supporting EF Cinema Lenses and make possible audio line input. The upgrade is available from Canon service centre and further information can be found at Canon Australia’s Service News and Help site: http://www.canon.com.au/en-AU/Personal/Support-Help/Support-News.
The new version of the EOS-1D C’s dedicated EOS Movie Utility software for Macintosh and Windows will be made available at the end of December. It adds a Mac-version video playback function and the ability to capture consecutive still images from a video file.
